It's the idea that every person is, at the most, six social connections away from anyone else in the world.
It's a powerful concept and has inspired many successful tech startups like LinkedIn and GREE International Entertainment, Inc.. Today, let's talk about the latter.
At 26 years old, Yoshikazu Tanaka built GREE, and with it, was able to successfully emulate the triumph of American social networks in Japan.
Today, GREE is a tech conglomerate across several verticals, including games, live entertainment, digital media, advertising, and investment.
Tanaka's advice to entrepreneurs? “I think the number one advice of I can give you is - you just have to start it. Just get your feet in the water and do it. I learned a lot from just trying it out." Very simple & basic, but the very challenge almost every aspiring entrepreneur faces.
